Our skilled engineers are able to interpret measurement accuracies of raw 3D scanned or CMM data captured by the most current technologies used. Traceable to recognized national and international standards, the raw data measured is processed for multiple applications varying from research laboratories to industrial tasks; selected examples include aircraft manufacturing, reverse engineering, drift monitoring, automobile manufacturing from body-in-white inspection to auto bodies and other components, rapid prototyping, inspection and quality control, statistical sampling, alignment services, metals production, composite products, industrial tool building, verification and certification.
We provide a wide range of high-accuracy measurement solutions from design evaluation of new product development design, manufacturing, tool verification/certification to surface profile inspection. Using CAD models and blue prints to communicate the geometry of a part and using knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ISO and ASME standards) we develop solutions on-site or cost effective alternative in-house inspection solutions which reduce production costs and improve inspection throughput.
Equipment and reports are traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology. ECM retains calibration records for equipment which are available to the client for review. Outside calibration services are used for equipment maintenance.

Laser Scanning
ECM Laser Scanning Service offer advanced data collection techniques for modeling small to large objects, from machined parts to whole factories.The laser scanner captures highly accurate 3D information in the form of a dense point cloud mapping an object or environment of varying geometric complexity.
Using industry standard file formats, the raw data can be exported into CAD software for 3D CAD model generation.
